Connected weighing from VWS
Vehicle Weighing Solutions (VWS) has outlined the connectivity functionality of its weighing systems for commercial vehicles.
“The need to be able to access information how and when you need it, is increasingly important to fleet operators and that’s why we have been actively developing a range of connected solutions over the past few years,” said VWS.
“All of our weighing solutions now have live connectivity back to our VWS Live web portal, giving you the ability to access your weighing data whenever and wherever you need it. We know that convenience is key, which is why our WiFi Weighing solution provides live transactional data that can be viewed on a mobile or tablet through the VWS Live app.
“We want to make accessing information as easy as possible for operators, which is why we’ve made it possible to access data via operators’ own devices. This not only makes it more user-friendly but also reduces installation time and costs.”
Tipper operators have shown a lot of interest in this new development, says VWS, and body-builders are offering its WiFi weighing solution as standard in many cases.
“There are many reasons to choose wireless weighing, but most of our customers comment on the enhanced fleet productivity and profitability, due to the ability to identify optimum yield,” the firm continued.
“A vehicle running at optimum yield means that it is utilising its complete carrying capacity, without being overloaded or underloaded, resulting in all activity being profitable.
