Drakefield launches Workshop TrailerMaster
Diagnostics equipment provider Drakefield has introduced the Workshop TrailerMaster to its range, which it says provides a low-cost, reliable solution to identifying and addressing various trailer-related issues.
“In the ever-evolving landscape of transportation, the need for efficient and reliable trailer diagnostics has never been more crucial,” said Drakefield.
“The TrailerMaster is engineered to diagnose a spectrum of issues, including air leaks, poor brake adjustment, faults in lighting circuits, ABS and EBS malfunctions, and problems with supply circuits. Its proven reliability contributes to lower maintenance costs, eliminating the need to attach the tractor and reducing noise and fumes in the workshop.
“Designed with user convenience in mind, TrailerMaster empowers a single operator to test a trailer’s complete lighting system using the 24n and 24s power sockets. Additionally, it facilitates testing the EBS warning light function on the trailer through the ISO 7638 socket.”
Users can connect an air supply from a compressor to test the braking system. The service brake can be tested manually using the service brake switch or wirelessly through the included wireless remote control.
The system features two glycerine-filled air gauges for service and emergency pressures, which is said to ensure precision and accuracy in diagnostics. There is also a dedicated diagnostic port enabling the connection of Wabco, Knorr and Haldex diagnostic software.
“The Workshop TrailerMaster stands out for its easy-to-use design, featuring an intuitive interface with no unnecessary complexities,” said Drakefield.
“Users can efficiently navigate the system without the need for extensive training.
“Connect the 24n and 24s sockets to the trailer, turn on the auto light test switch, and witness the trailer lights illuminate in a pre-set order for approximately 10 seconds each. This sequential illumination allows operators to meticulously check each light, including left lights, left indicator, brake light, reverse light, fog light, right indicator, and right lights.”
The company added: “The Workshop TrailerMaster represents a leap forward in trailer diagnostics technology. With its advanced features, user-friendly interface, and comprehensive kit, it is poised to become an indispensable tool for operators and maintenance professionals in the transport industry.”
