Centenary milestone for Truck-Lite Europe
CV lighting provider Truck-Lite Europe is celebrating 100 years since its inception as Flexible Lamps Ltd and the birth of the Rubbolite brand in 1924.
Established in London, Flexible Lamps Ltd began with an innovative idea inspired by a child’s rubber toy, leading to the development of the world’s first rubber lamps for commercial vehicles.
“This groundbreaking concept provided the genesis for the Rubbolite brand and laid the foundation for the company’s enduring legacy of quality and innovation,” said Truck-Lite.
“Subsequent acquisitions propelled the company’s growth, leading to expanded capabilities and diversification in product offerings. These advancements built a trusted customer base and established a long-standing reputation for superior quality vehicle lighting products associated with the Rubbolite name.
“In 2006, Flexible Lamps Ltd became part of the Truck-Lite family, a significant milestone that propelled Truck-Lite Europe Ltd to greater heights. This integration bolstered Truck-Lite’s global presence and further solidified its commitment to providing cutting-edge solutions for commercial vehicle lighting needs.”
