Volvo and Renault Trucks to maintain separate networks
Volvo Group has restructured its two truck brands in the UK, but the separate Volvo Trucks and Renault Trucks dealership networks will be maintained for now.
While different shop-fronts are retained, a Volvo Group spokesman said: “The new organisation, Volvo Group Trucks UK & Ireland, brings together and merges the current Renault Trucks and Volvo Trucks support functions…
”The changes are being introduced to support a new, multi-brand focused Renault and Volvo truck sales, aftermarket and marketing organisation serving its dealer networks and its customers in the UK and Ireland market.”
Former UK Volvo truck chief Arne Knaben is managing director of the new organisation.
Nigel Butler and Mike Corcoran will lead the development and growth of the Renault Trucks and Volvo Trucks brands respectively in the UK and Ireland in their roles as commercial directors.
Aftermarket and customer support will be directed by Tony Davis, and Ian Wrench will now take responsibility for developing the two respective and separate dealer networks as retail development director.
Amanda Hiatt is appointed to the new position of marketing director of Volvo Group Trucks UK & Ireland. Amanda is now responsible for new and used truck marketing, BRS contract-hire and truck rental, aftermarket marketing, product marketing and media relations for all brands.
Volvo Group plans to have the organisation fully operational by 7 September.
Mr Knaben said: “I am delighted to be announcing the new, multi-brand focused organisation. I am confident that it will enable us to support our BRS, Renault and Volvo truck customers even more effectively. The organisational changes we have put in place, demonstrate that our emphasis is firmly on delivering quality and cost effective transport solutions to our customers.”
