Apollo makes advances in TBR tyre sector
Apollo Tyres reports that it is continuing to strengthen its presence in the truck, bus and radial (TBR) tyre market, expanding its product portfolio with new sizes and applications to meet evolving industry demands.
“Findings from Cognitive Market Research indicate that sales of truck, bus and radial (TBR) tyres are likely to grow steadily over the next eight years,” said Yves Pouliquen, vice president, commercial, Europe at Apollo Tyres Ltd.
“To cater for the growing demand, Apollo Tyres Ltd now offers a diverse range of class-competitive TBR tyres, which include popular lines such as the EnduMile, EnduTrax and EnduRace.
“All have been engineered to cater to fleet operators, offering a blend of performance, durability and safety.”
A commitment to quality and performance has earned the trust of leading truck manufacturers and fleet operators across Europe, says Apollo, resulting in multiple original equipment (OE) partnerships.
Notable collaborations include Astra, Iveco, TMT Tanks & Trailers and Schwarzmüller, which Apollo says further cements its reputation as a reliable choice for the most demanding applications.
Apollo Tyres’ TBR range covers a variety of requirements, including long and short haul, axle, drive and trailer, multi-terrain and high-capacity transport.
“Apollo Tyres’ first dedicated long-haul trailer (LHT) product, the EnduMile LHT, is engineered for maximum fuel efficiency and durability,” explained Yves Pouliquen.
“With A-rated rolling resistance, it optimises fuel consumption while maintaining stability and reliability over an extended lifespan. The tyre features a robust carcass that enhances retreadability, helping to minimise whole-life costs.
“Designed for long haul use, the tyre features a compact centre rib and broad contact patch to ensure even pressure distribution, improved stability and managing wear. An advanced polymer blend further improves rolling resistance and road noise, for a smoother, quieter ride.
“The EnduMile LHT is developed to withstand challenging road conditions experienced during long haul driving, delivering long-lasting performance and cost-effective operation.”
Yves also highlighted the features of the EnduTrax Multi-Axle Heavy-Duty (MA HD), a robust all-wheel and trailer tyre specifically designed for mixed on- and off-road use.
“It delivers exceptional durability and consistent performance across varied terrain, including snow, gravel and rocky surfaces. Engineered for mixed on- and off-road applications, it outperforms conventional regional all-wheel tyres with superior wear resistance and control.
“To combat regular tyre wear, the EnduTrax MA HD features an advanced compound that is 11 per cent more cut- and chip-resistant than standard regional all-wheel tyres, while an additional 14 per cent cushioned rubber layer enhances impact resistance and retread potential.
“Shoulder notches and deep block sipes maximise traction, allowing for precise navigation over challenging surfaces. Deep sipes create extra biting edges for improved grip, while large edge grooves evenly distribute pressure, enhancing cornering stability and extending tyre lifespan.
“With its reinforced design and advanced tread technology, the EnduTrax MA HD delivers unmatched reliability and control, making it the ideal choice for demanding multi-terrain transport.”
Meanwhile, the EnduRace range is Apollo Tyres’ most extensive and long-standing TBR series designed for medium and long-distance transport.
“Engineered for superior durability, it offers high levels of grip and traction, ensuring superior performance year-round for demanding long-haul applications,” said Yves.
The range comprises the EnduRace RA all-axle tyre, RD 2 drive tyre and the RT trailer tyre, all available in the popular 19.5-inch size option, with the EnduRace RA2 available for 22.5-inch rims.
“Developed and manufactured by Apollo Tyres in Europe, the EnduRace range is engineered to deliver exceptional durability, fuel efficiency and grip, while also being ‘Three-Peak Mountain Snowflake’ certified for optimal performance in winter conditions.
“Apollo Tyres continues to strengthen its position in the TBR market, offering well-proven solutions for fleet operators across Europe. With a focus on durability, fuel efficiency and cost-effectiveness, the company remains committed to supporting the evolving needs of the industry.”
