Renault Trucks has outlined the features and benefits of its all-new E-Tech Master, reporting that the new model is “turning heads” across the UK and Europe.

“This latest iteration isn’t just an upgrade,” said Grahame Neagus, Head of LCV at Renault Trucks UK and Ireland.

It’s a complete reinvention from the ground up, with new drivelines and reimagined cabin, it is designed to deliver superior performance, enhanced comfort, and greater efficiency that are setting the new benchmark for commercial LCVs.

“And for those looking to go all electric, this native electric model boasts the most efficient electric drivetrain on the market today, delivering 460km range and TCO parity with diesel.

“For years, the Renault Trucks Master has been a staple in the industry, known for its unwavering reliability and impressive payload capacity, thanks in part to its front-wheel-drive layout. This latest generation carries that legacy forward, ensuring operators continue to enjoy the dependable performance they’ve come to expect.”

Where the new E-Tech Master truly shines is in the cab, says Grahame, which has been engineered with driver comfort in mind, and offers a workspace that is more ergonomic, connected and refined.

“Its versatility makes it the perfect fit for a wide range of applications, from freight and logistics to utilities, construction and trades,” he continued.

“Available in a variety of configurations, including Van, Crew Van, Trabus, Platform Cab, and both Chassis Cab and Chassis Crew Cab, there’s a solution tailored for every business and every operation.”

The all-new Renault Trucks E-Tech Master features a completely redesigned motor and an 87kWh battery.

“Capable of charging at 130kW DC, it offers the fastest charging times of any 3.5-tonne van on the market, ensuring quicker turnaround when a top-up is needed,” Grahame continued.

“Not that charging will be required too often – with a class-leading WLTP range of over 280 miles, the new Renault Trucks Master sets the benchmark for electric vans, making the switch to zero tailpipe emissions more compelling than ever.”

Inside, the Renault Trucks Master is designed with professionals in mind, he adds.

“Available in three trim levels, including Red Edition and Red Exclusive, it boasts impressive cross-cab access, a commanding driving position, and a fully adjustable steering column. The redesigned dashboard features sharp TFT displays and a large central screen, offering seamless navigation and easy access to essential functions.”

Renault Trucks has been at the forefront of integrating advanced connectivity features into its vehicles, says Grahame, to enhance productivity, availability, safety and durability.

“This is Renault Trucks’ first fully connected van, equipped with onboard telematics and dedicated apps to keep drivers linked to their vehicle at all times. Safety and visibility have also been enhanced with new LED headlights, paired with an optimised seating position, ensuring excellent nighttime visibility.

“Additionally, with 23 advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) features, including improved steering and braking technology, the Renault Trucks Master is one of the safest vans in its class.”

He also highlights the improved manoeuvrability of the vehicle, with the L3 LWB model now boasting a turning circle reduced by 1.5m, making tight urban spaces and on site access easier to navigate.

“Cargo capacity ranges from 10m³ to 14.8m³, or  up to 24m³ with the Platform cab and body, and with the widest side-loading door in its class, loading and unloading have never been more efficient.

“Renault Trucks has also introduced a selection of tailored pack options to enhance functionality further. An optional rear air suspension ensures a smooth ride, even when fully loaded. With a front axle rating of 1,950kg, higher than many competitors, the new Master is built to handle heavy tools and equipment, reducing the risk of overloading.

“Towing capability is equally impressive. The E-Tech Master is rated for up to 2,500kg, making it an extremely versatile choice for a wide range of tasks. Operators can also choose between 3,500kg and 4,000kg GVW models to match their specific payload requirements.

“Adding to its versatility, the E-Tech Master also features an optional V2L (vehicle-to-load) system, allowing you to power tools and equipment directly from the van, perfect for on-site work.”

Grahame concluded: Renault Trucks doesn’t just offer a van; it delivers a complete solution. From factory-built bodies and tailored internal conversions to an innovative internal cage system for tool theft protection, the Master can be fully customised to your trade.

“But where Renault Trucks really stands apart is in its aftersales support, with commercial vehicle expertise, extended opening hours and facilities that mean tradespeople and businesses can reduce unwanted downtime to a minimum whilst their vans are serviced out of hours, just like trucks.”
