DAF dealership Norscot Truck & Van has taken delivery of two sets of mobile column lifts from Finkbeiner UK to equip a temporary workshop, following a blaze at Norscot’s site in Bridge of Don, Aberdeen.

Norscot Truck & Van offers a full range of transport solutions from four locations throughout northern Scotland. In response to the destruction caused by the fire, the firm established a temporary service department at a site in Potterton, which was operational within weeks.

While there were no injuries reported, vehicles and equipment in the workshop area at Bridge of Don had been destroyed, including previous vehicle lifts supplied many years ago by Finkbeiner UK, an established DAF partner.

Mick Norman, UK sales manager at Finkbeiner, took immediate action to source two replacement sets of EHB907DC Mobile Column Lifts from the company’s factory in Germany, expediting the shipment to site to help ensure that Norscot’s temporary workshop was in operation as soon as possible.

With a lifting capacity of 7,500kg per column, the lifts feature long adjustable wheel forks, EasyCharge daisy-chain charging and industrial radio control, said to offer minimal interference and optimal safety.

Further benefits cited by Finkbeiner UK include a simple, intuitive control display, and fast configuration and operation.

Mick Norman said: “Finkbeiner UK is very grateful to have been able to assist an old customer, at short notice, at such a difficult time.”

“George Barrack, managing director at Norscot, has always chosen to invest in premium quality equipment, so the decision to purchase the newest Finkbeiners was an easy one.”
