Texaco says its Delo 400 XSP-FA 5W-30 and Delo 400 XSP-SD 5W-30 heavy-duty diesel engine oils are engineered to help commercial vehicle fleets maximise performance, minimise downtime and control costs.

Delo 400 XSP-FA SAE 5W-30 is a premium, fuel-efficient synthetic heavy-duty diesel engine oil designed to meet industry and engine manufacturers’ performance requirements in on-highway applications,” said Texaco.

“This advanced lubricant boasts a low SAPS (sulphated ash, phosphorus, and sulphur) formulation, providing exceptional engine protection for modern, low-emission diesel trucks.

“A standout feature of Delo 400 XSP-FA 5W-30, is its ability to help improve fuel economy when compared to SAE 15W-40 diesel engine oils. This translates to potential cost savings for fleet operators, helping to reduce fuel consumption and enhance profitability.

“Beyond fuel efficiency, Delo 400 XSP-FA 5W-30 has been developed to deliver oxidation resistance, thermal stability, and detergency, ensuring high-performance piston deposit control and turbocharger protection.”

The oil’s advanced formulation also aids wear control and deposit and soot dispersancy, adds Texaco, safeguarding critical engine components such as cylinders, pistons, rings, and valve trains against wear and corrosion.

“This contributes to longer vehicle service life while minimising downtime and maintenance costs.

“Delo 400 XSP-FA 5W-30 is specifically formulated for on-highway applications with Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR), Diesel Particulate Filters (DPF), and Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) systems. It is approved for use and meets the requirements of Renault RLD-5, Volvo VDS-5, and Daimler Truck DTFR 15C130.”

Meanwhile Delo 400 XSP-SD SAE 5W-30 is a high-performance synthetic heavy-duty engine oil designed for fuel economy, which meets the performance requirements of a wide range of engines in on-highway, off-highway and construction service.

“The oil’s versatility as a mixed fleet engine oil helps operators reduce oil inventories, costs, and the risk of misapplication,” said Texaco.

“The low viscosity synthetic base oils help ensure rapid circulation during cold and sub-zero engine starts, lessening the chances of wear and tear. It is also formulated to help allow for extended drain intervals, reducing downtime and maintenance costs

“This high-performance engine oil is recommended for four-stroke naturally aspirated and turbocharged diesel engines, including those meeting Euro I to Euro V and the latest Euro VI emissions requirements. It is suitable for use in engines with global after-treatment systems and is compatible with various fuels, including low-sulphur and ultra-low sulphur diesel fuels, and many biofuel formulations.

“Delo 400 XSP-SD 5W-30 has a wide range of approvals, including Cummins CES 20086, Mack EOS-4.5, Volvo VDS-4.5, and Daimler Truck DTFR 15C110 and DTFR 15C120.

“For commercial vehicle fleet operators, the choice between Delo 400 XSP-FA 5W-30 and Delo 400 XSP-SD 5W-30 depends on the specific needs of their fleet. While both products offer fuel economy and engine protection benefits, they are tailored for slightly different applications.”
