AS 24: driving HGV security and efficiency across Europe
For over 36 years, AS 24, a subsidiary of TotalEnergies, has supported transport professionals with bespoke mobility solutions. With a network dedicated to HGVs across Europe, the company has become a leader in fuel supply, toll services and digital fleet management, offering secure and innovative tools that simplify daily operations.
AS 24 provides over 1,700 refuelling services in 29 countries, including 250 stations in France, located conveniently along main highways as well as in industrial zones and areas with high logistics activity. Stations are fully automated, and designed for HGVs with wide lanes, high-flow nozzles, facilities for double-tank refuelling, and AdBlue supply.
Cards are offered for a single driver or linked to a truck to suit operational requirements. Fleet managers can manage all features from the digital portal and the mobile app. They can instantly suspend or reactivate cards; set spending limits, schedules, and geographical restrictions; configure cards and toll tags; receive automatic alerts for unusual activity; and monitor expenditure, including real-time station prices, transaction history, and invoices.
In addition to maximum protection through a chip & PIN that cannot be cloned, AS 24 has introduced a new authentication feature. The card is blocked until the driver activates it, by simply sending a secure keyword via text message.
After confirmation via text message, the card is active for one hour with all limits applied, then automatically locks again.
Linking each card to a driver and their mobile phone ensures complete traceability and effective fraud prevention, says the company.
When a vehicle is equipped with an OBU, the fuel card can be linked to it, allowing fleet managers to track vehicle movements in real time on the AS 24 portal. Managers can optimise routes, monitor fuel consumption, set spending limits, and detect unusual activity instantly, combining operational control with network flexibility.
AS 24 continues to digitise its services, with two dedicated mobile apps: the Driver app, allowing drivers to locate network stations and receive updates on closures or maintenance, and the Fleet Manager app, giving fleet managers mobile access to all essential functions of the Customer Area.
“AS 24 anticipates transporters’ future needs by continuously enhancing its offer to adapt to the most innovative technologies and offer a wide range of services to its customers,” said Matthieu Perret, managing director AS 24 for UK and Ireland.
With secure, flexible, and fully connected solutions, AS 24 says it can empower transport professionals to streamline operations, control costs, and enhance fleet security across Europe, making daily journeys simpler and safer.
