Global logistics provider Network International has chosen Dennison Trailers as its supplier for a new fleet of fuel-efficient, aerodynamic trailers.

With over 30 years’ experience, Network International has facilities and partner locations across Ireland, the UK and Benelux.

The new trailer fleet, built by Dennison at its Lancaster manufacturing plant, utilises the company’s latest aerodynamic design. The double-deck curtainsider trailers feature a staggered load deck at the rear. This maximises flexibility when loading the trailer, especially with mixed or groupage loads.

The trailers are built to withstand the rigours of heavy freight movement and feature a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), heavy duty BPW axles and quality Aspöck lighting for all external road lights.

The fully bolted body is designed for maximum rigidity and strength while the galvanised rear door and front pillars prevent corrosion from salt water and road grit. In addition, front corner protectors are fitted to reduce impact and damage from trees on countryside routes.

The aerodynamic roof design ensures airflow over the front of the trailer is improved, reducing drag and improving fuel efficiency for the operator.

The lower deck floor is manufactured using a sustainable, heavy duty 29mm hardwood while the upper deck features a composite grid floor that ensures an ideal balance of strength and vision through the floor – particularly useful for operators when loading, says Dennison.

The curtain sides are fully branded with Network International livery and can be opened from the front or rear, providing loading and unloading flexibility. Behind the curtains, full length, semi-opaque load restraining nets are designed to improve load restraint, enhancing safety during transport and helping prevent loads from moving and shifting.

They allow the operator to visually check the load condition without having to climb inside or fully remove the restraints – improving safety and security and ensuring compliance, in line with the latest EN-1295 load restraint standards.

Overseeing the specification and delivery of the trailers for Network International is operations director, Derek Byrne.

“When we looked at all the options available to us, we chose Dennison Trailers due to their excellent build quality and strength, combined with their consultative approach to our requirements,” said Derek.

“The design of these trailers provides us with maximum flexibility for our growing business, and we’ve worked closely with Dennison on the specification and design of the trailers throughout the process. We’re very happy with the end results.”

Dennison Trailers’ managing director James Dennison, commented: “We were delighted when Network International put their faith in Dennison to provide this new fleet of aerodynamic double deck trailers. These trailers are bespoke-built to suit their business needs and will provide them with a flexible, reliable trailer for years to come.”

Dennison supplies skeletals, curtainsiders, tippers, platforms, machinery carriers and drawbar trailers across Ireland and Britain as well as exporting further afield.
