Novadata rolls out defect report book for road sweepers
Transport compliance expert Novadata has launched its new Road Sweeper Defect Report Book, the latest addition to its Vehicle Defect & Inspection Books range.
The new defect report book guides road sweeper drivers through a thorough vehicle inspection, creating a robust record of each stage of the check, reporting any defects discovered, so that they can be promptly rectified.
Each book comprises 50 numbered duplicated sheets, which provide a step-by-step prompt, and which form a comprehensive report of the check, demonstrating compliance in the event of an inspection. The Road Sweeper Defect Report Book is said to be ideal for local authorities and facilities management organisations.
For those who require a digital approach, adds Novadata, its Daily Walkaround Check App now also offers a Road Sweeper inspection setting, so that accurate digital records of checks can be created.
Derek Broomfield, chairman of Novadata, said: “It is vital to ensure that every vehicle in the fleet is well maintained and regularly checked. Road sweepers are no exception. We recognise that many transport operators are traditional in approach and favour a paper-based solution for keeping accurate records of daily walkaround checks. This is both acceptable and compliant, provided that the records are permanent and correct.
“Our range of Vehicle Defect & Inspection Books are designed to ensure that the walkaround check is conducted thoroughly and recorded accurately, leaving a robust, long-lasting record of every check. Our new Road Sweeper Defect Report Book is the latest addition to the range.
“However, an increasing number of operators prefer a paperless, digital solution, and for them we provide a versatile, industry-leading walkaround check app, which is both user-friendly and versatile enough for drivers to use on any road-going vehicle, including road sweepers.”
The new Novadata Road Sweeper Defect Report Book is available to order from Novadata’s online shop.
