Fastview360 launches AI-driven safety solutions
On-board CCTV vehicle recording systems specialist Fastview360 has unveiled its next-generation AI-powered camera solutions, with the aim of enhancing driver and fleet safety.
One of the latest releases is the is the Driver Monitoring System (DMS), designed to identify and prevent unsafe driver behaviours in real time.
Using advanced AI, the DMS detects fatigue, distraction, mobile phone use, smoking, seatbelt misuse, and camera obstruction. Fleet managers can access live and recorded footage through the FVLink portal, where automated alerts flag incidents for review.
Beyond safety, the DMS also serves as a powerful training tool, says Fastview360, helping organisations reinforce best practices and improve driver performance.
The company’s AI capabilities extend beyond driver monitoring, making the systems ideal for major infrastructure and transport projects such as PSS and HS2, and adaptable to all vehicle types.
One of Fastview360’s latest developments is the rear camera PPE detection system.
“This smart camera solution identifies when an operator is working at the rear of a vehicle – such as when the PTO is engaged or the rear doors open – and automatically sends an image to the FVLink portal for review,” it explained.
“If required PPE is missing, the system flags the incident and records it in the near-miss log. This proactive approach enhances operator safety and provides valuable insights for ongoing training.
“The system currently detects multiple PPE items, including hi-vis jackets, hi-vis trousers, safety glasses, hard hats, and gloves – ensuring staff are equipped for every task.”
FVLink is the customer access point with a single logon for both camera and telematic solutions.
“Combining vehicles in a fleet with multiple other camera providers through our third-party integration technology creates simplicity in the office environment,” added Fastview360.
Cited features of the system include live camera viewing and tracking; advanced telematic software; incident management; vehicle and camera finding solutions by date, time, and location – ideal for if a call comes in with missing information; and an easy-to-use platform with onboarding training and refresher training.
