CV Show: VisionTrack to launch new recording camera

VisionTrack is using this year’s CV Show to launch a video recording camera that incorporates many of the functions found in a telematics system. The VT2000 3G camera uses M2M (machine to machine) communication rather than a dongle, so it can communicate seamlessly with VisionTrack’s online platform.

In the event of an incident the camera sends an instant report, including both video and mapping. The footage is transmitted within seconds using extremely low amounts of data, which VisionTrack says sets it apart from other similar products, thereby helping make this type of fleet safety technology a more affordable long-term solution.

The camera can also be programmed to act as a proactive rather than reactive driver coach by, for example, giving audible warning of speeding offences.

The CV Show 2016 will take place from 26-28 April at the NEC Birmingham. Visitors can register for their free tickets by clicking here.
