Laser launches new air impact wrench
Laser Tools has extended its heavy-duty air-tool line with the 9208 Air Impact Wrench (3/4″ drive) – described as a high-torque, user-friendly impact wrench designed for repeated wheel changes and heavy maintenance tasks on HGVs, plant, agriculture and commercial fleets.
Building on the success of the 1″-drive 9024, the 9208 is said to deliver workshop-grade loosening power in a much lighter, more ergonomic package thanks to a magnesium alloy/composite body and an extended 6″ anvil for recessed wheel-nut access.
“The 9208 is engineered to combine raw performance with practical ergonomics: powerful twin-hammer impact mechanics, a long anvil for deep-set nuts, and a thermally insulating composite body that reduces cold transfer to the operator’s hands during long shifts,” said Laser Tools.
“The result is a tool that frees stuck fixings fast – while being more comfortable and less tiring to use shift after shift.”
The tool delivers up to 2,170 Nm maximum torque while weighing just 4.6 kg, reducing operator fatigue on high-volume wheel change work. The 6″ (approx. 152 mm) anvil reaches recessed wheel nuts without awkward adaptors or extensions.
For operator comfort and safety, the magnesium/composite body cuts weight and reduces cold transfer to the hands – important on long jobs in cold workshops or outdoors.
Laser Tools emphasises the tool’s durability, with its twin-hammer mechanism and robust internals for reliable service in demanding environments.
Practical features include side exhaust, blade with spring mount, and compatibility with impact-quality 3/4″ sockets.
Specifically targeted at HGV and heavy commercial wheel servicing, the 9208 is also said to be ideal for fleet maintenance depots and roadside recovery teams, heavy plant and construction machinery workshops, agricultural machinery maintenance, and any heavy-duty wheel or fastener removal task where extended reach and high torque are required.
“The Laser 9208 Air Impact Wrench 3/4″ Drive brings high torque, extended reach and operator-friendly design to heavy-duty servicing tasks — a practical choice where performance meets repeatability in the HGV workshop environment,” said the company.
The 9208 is available now for purchase from Laser Tools stockists and online retailers.
