DAF to showcase Emerald Edition XG+ at RTX
DAF Trucks will be returning to NAEC Stoneleigh from 30 June to 2 July for Road Transport Expo 2026, with two stands showcasing the company’s wide range of trucks and support services for the transport industry. The main DAF stand will be located in the exhibition hall, on stand G36, while TRP – the all-makes commercial vehicle parts brand from Paccar Parts – will be outside in the main showground on stand B1.
In the main exhibition hall, DAF will host visitors and demonstrate one of its Emerald Edition XG+ tractors – part of a limited production run of 100 units in the lead-up to the company celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2028.
“Following the Sapphire Edition model last year, this second truck in the Gemstone Collection is characterised by its bold Forest Dawn green colour and piano black high gloss grille and accents,” said DAF.
“The bespoke DAF trucks will also feature Alcoa Dura-Bright aluminium wheels, air suspension front and rear and twin fuel tanks.
“Inside the cab, every element has been perfectly coordinated – from specially designed matching curtains and mattress topper to the stylish underside of the upper bunk and exclusive floor mats. To complement the new Emerald Edition, DAF has produced a Merchandise Package, which includes a matching duvet cover, memory foam pillow and a leather bag for toiletries. Each truck boasts a unique limited-edition number, to emphasise its exclusivity.”
Joining the Emerald Edition XG+ on the DAF stand will be an XD Electric FT 4×2 tractor, from Burnley-based business Fagan & Whalley. The first of two such vehicles in operation with the haulier, this XD Electric is powered by a 350kW Paccar EX-D2 eMotor, which is mated to a 525kWh LFP battery pack.
“Chosen to demonstrate the capabilities of electric HGVs as well as DAF’s commitment to zero emission logistics, the XD Electric, which alongside the XF Electric was voted International truck of the Year 2026, will provide the perfect opportunity for visitors to discover more about battery-powered trucks and the transition away from diesel power in the industry,” said DAF.
At its stand near the main entrance to the outside showground, TRP will showcase its extensive portfolio of more than 120,000 vehicle parts, alongside a broad selection of DAF vehicles. These models include: a DAF XFC FAD 8×4 Tipper; a DAF XG FAS 6×2 Recovery vehicle; a DAF XD Electric 4×2 tractor unit and a DAF XB FA Electric 4×2 Recycling truck. Alongside the array of DAF vehicles, visitors to the TRP stand will have the opportunity to take part in the current customer promotion, ‘Driven to Deliver’, as well as enter a competition to win a limited-edition board game of the same name. Staff on the stand will also be on hand to demonstrate the TRP Webshop and SPI (Single Point Invoicing) innovation.
Operators looking to experience the DAF Electric range of trucks will also have the opportunity to get behind the wheel at RTX. The XF Electric will be available to ride or drive in an articulated combination, alongside an XB Electric 4×2 rigid. Feedback from drivers of DAF Electric trucks is “wholeheartedly positive”, says the manufacturer, “with praise for the smooth, quiet and effortless performance”.
