RHA launches National Lorry Week 2026

National Lorry Week – the Road Haulage Association (RHA) campaign that brings operators, drivers, businesses and industry partners together to raise awareness of road transport’s critical importance in keeping the nation running – has commenced for 2026.

According to the RHA, this year’s theme – “The road that connects everything” – highlights the vital role the sector plays in supporting businesses, communities and supply chains across the country.

Throughout the week, RHA members and supporters will be sharing stories, photos and behind-the-scenes content showcasing the people and operations of the industry. 85 per cent of the UK’s freight is moved by road, the association points out, from food and medicine to fuel, clothing and online deliveries.

Richard Smith, managing director of the RHA, said: “It’s fantastic to see the industry already getting behind National Lorry Week and sharing the stories that show just how important road transport is to everyday life.

“This campaign is about recognising the people behind the wheel, the businesses behind the supply chain, and the role the sector plays in keeping the country moving.

“Road transport connects everything – and this week is an opportunity to celebrate the people and businesses making that happen every single day.”

The campaign will continue throughout the week before culminating at RTX and Multimodal as part of UK Logistics Week from 30 June to 2 July.

Vic Bunby, RTX show director, said: “National Lorry Week is a great opportunity to celebrate the people and businesses that power our sector, and we’re looking forward to welcoming the industry to RTX as part of UK Logistics Week.”

Robert Jervis, event director, Multimodal, said: “We’re delighted to support the wider industry activity taking place through National Lorry Week and UK Logistics Week, helping showcase the importance of logistics and road transport across the UK economy.”

The campaign includes: member stories and case studies; industry visits and stakeholder engagement; sponsor and supporter activity; video and social media content; and live event coverage from RTX and Multimodal. Members and supporters are encouraged to continue sharing content using #NationalLorryWeek.
