Three of the major truck manufacturers will be represented at this year’s Commercial Vehicle Show, which takes place from 25-27 April at the NEC Birmingham.

The annual event, which will feature more than 450 exhibitors across 10 per cent more space than last year, will play host to both DAF and MAN, as well as major Iveco distributor Guest Trucks.

DAF Trucks will be promoting its DAF Transport Efficiency portfolio, encompassing product enhancements such as Silent Mode and Predictive Cruise Control.

DAF will also exhibit a selection of models from its LF, CF and XF ranges, while the company’s in-house finance division, Paccar Financial, will showcase the DAF First Choice approved used programme.

The manufacturer will be located in Hall 5 adjacent to an additional outside exhibition area, featuring the company’s new Showtrekker hospitality trailer.

“We’re very excited to be back at the CV Show in 2017 and to be flying the flag for the heavy truck industry,” said DAF marketing manager, Phil Moon.

“CV Show visitors will be made to feel very welcome on the DAF stand, in our outside exhibition area and on our fantastic new Showtrekker hospitality unit.”

Meanwhile, MAN will be exhibiting its range of heavy trucks, as well as launching its new van, the TGE.

“The TGE will fit seamlessly into the MAN family and will mean there is an MAN vehicle to meet every application across the commercial transport market,” said Martin Pickering, marketing communications manager at MAN Truck & Bus.

The MAN TGE will be offered with a gross weight ratings between 3 and 5.5 tonnes, and is said to be ideal for everyday light transport tasks.

“[The CV Show] is a fabulous networking opportunity for us and allows us to meet with our existing clients and build strong leads with potential customers,” added Pickering.

“Footfall at the show is always impressive.”

Guest Trucks, Iveco’s largest heavy truck dealer group, would also have a sizeable stand, Show bosses said.

CV Show director Rob Skelton added: “We’re delighted to see DAF, MAN and Iveco via Guest Trucks returning to the CV Show in 2017.

“Heavy trucks are a vital part of the freight and logistics industry in the UK and their presence adds a real attraction to the Show, as well as giving the manufacturers the opportunity to connect with some of the key players across the haulage industry and demonstrate their products and services, all from one venue.”

A selection of light commercial vehicle manufacturers will also be exhibiting at the event, in addition to a vast array of suppliers of products and services to the transport sector. Transport Operator will be previewing the exhibitor line-up in depth in our special April CV Show Preview edition next month.

Meanwhile, registration for the CV Show is free and can be completed at the website – where attendees can also find out more about the event, and access a full floor plan and exhibitor list.
