The endurance testing programme using this first prototype, which will be followed by several others this year, is designed to evaluate major components and the fuel efficiency of the range extended electric concept truck.

Glenn Saint, Charge’s technical director, said: “We believe that very soon we will be able to demonstrate that we have found the ultimate target of emissions free heavy vehicle technology – ultra low emissions at much less than the cost of diesel power.”

Further details of the programme will be revealed shortly but a short video illustrating the testing is now available here.
