Autolift aids access with jack range
Autolift Ltd specialises in the design and manufacture of commercial vehicle lifting solutions including pit jacks, jacking systems and jacking beams.
The company cites its experience of over two decades in designing and manufacturing reliable and high performance commercial vehicle pit jacks, from 13 tonne jacks through to 40 tonne models – providing safe, efficient and cost-effective lifting solutions to all truck, bus and coach garages.
“Autolift Ltd is proud to use UK suppliers and manufactures a range of pit jacks, free standing jacking beams and component parts, all out of its manufacturing plant based here in the UK,” said the company.
Autolift offers a comprehensive selection of pit jack styles and lifting capacities –13T, 20T, 30T and a heavy duty 40T model.
“All jacks have transversely sliding rams for accurate positioning under the lifting point and most have a lifting stroke of 400mm but this can be lengthened further with a wide selection of extensions and alternative accessories,” said the firm.
“Safety is paramount for Autolift so all jacks come with a triple layer of safety features installed as standard – safety lowering valves, anti-burst valves and ram lock-off handles. However, Autolift offer an additional safety feature, security struts, which can be added as an optional extra to provide an extra feeling of security to the user.
“Autolift also sells a very popular 1.5-tonne heavy duty transmission jack which is available in both air and manual models. They are designed and manufactured for use in a pit or under a four-post lift and are used to remove and install engines, gearboxes etc. Autolift’s transmission jacks are a proven, reliable and well engineered premium product.”
The company also highlights the duty of care workshops have to their employees, and the legal requirements under LOLER regulations for the periodic testing of lifting equipment.
“Autolift can assist in this endeavour by completing such inspections and provide a service of the equipment at the same time because, as with the vehicles they lift, regular preventative maintenance will not only decrease downtime in the long-run but also extend the overall working life of the equipment,” the firm added.
