ISN Garage Assist adds value with Hofmann wireless lifts

ISN Garage Assist’s workshop equipment portfolio includes the Hofmann ISN Assist Luxus HML85 wireless lifts, designed specifically for the commercial vehicle sector.

Each column in the HML85 system delivers 8,500kg of lifting capacity, allowing workshops to configure lifting sets depending on the vehicles they service. With the ability to link up to 16 columns wirelessly, the system can achieve a total lifting capacity of 136,000kg.

This scalability means a single lifting solution can comfortably handle light commercial vehicles, rigid and articulated HGVs, buses and coaches, municipal vehicles such as refuse trucks, and specialist fleet vehicles.

“For operators maintaining mixed fleets, this level of adaptability can significantly simplify workshop infrastructure,” said the company.

“One of the most notable features of modern mobile column lifts is wireless synchronisation.

“The HML85 uses Bluetooth technology to link each column together, allowing technicians to control the lift from a single control pad on any column within the set.”

Removing interconnecting cables delivers several practical benefits in a busy workshop, says ISN Garage Assist; it eliminates common trip hazards, prevents cable damage caused by vehicle traffic, and allows cleaner, more organised workshop floors.

“The system also features an auto-speed synchronisation function, ensuring that all columns lift and lower in perfect coordination, maintaining vehicle stability throughout the entire process,” said the firm.

“Another advantage of mobile column systems is the flexibility they offer in workshop layout.

“Each 800kg column incorporates a hydraulic pallet-truck style wheel system, allowing technicians to move the lifting equipment directly to the vehicle rather than positioning the vehicle over a fixed lift.”

This creates opportunities for workshops to reconfigure floor layouts when needed, set up temporary lifting stations, maximise space utilisation, and perform maintenance in areas that might otherwise be unusable.

“In environments where floor space is at a premium, this flexibility can make a significant difference to workshop productivity,” the firm continued.

The HML85 system is battery-powered, removing the need for fixed power connections.

“Each column can be charged using a standard 230V wall socket, with a single charge typically providing up to 15 full lifting cycles, more than sufficient for a typical workshop shift.

“This cordless approach further contributes to the lift’s flexibility and ease of deployment.

“Commercial vehicle workshops place considerable demands on equipment, and durability is critical. The HML85 is built using heavy-gauge steel construction and high-quality welds, ensuring the columns can withstand daily use in busy fleet environments.

“Adjustable long-reach forks allow technicians to adapt the columns to suit a wide range of wheel sizes, an essential feature when servicing mixed fleets.”

Highlighted safety systems include hydraulic check valves to prevent sudden lowering, mechanical locking hooks every 3cm, and emergency stop controls on every column.

“These features combine to provide technicians with the confidence that the lifting system is both stable and secure during operation,” said ISN Garage Assist.
