Premium brake parts from Borg & Beck
First Line Ltd’s premium Borg & Beck components range for the commercial vehicle sector includes an extensive portfolio of braking parts.
With a 100-year heritage, Borg & Beck was purchased by First Line in 2006.

“The CV programme offers distributors a comprehensive range of brake discs, pads and drums, steering, water pumps, air and electrical coils, and rotating electrics, offering a credible alternative to original equipment (OE) suppliers.

The portfolio covers applications including DAF, Scania, Renault, Volvo, Mercedes-Benz, MAN and Iveco.
“The range of more than 35 Borg & Beck CV brake pads are manufactured to incorporate a fine semi metallic organic formulation into the friction element, which delivers excellent performance and durability characteristics that ably cater for the considerable safety demands of the modern truck,” said First Line.
“The pads also include bedding-in strips to ensure that drivers can rely on their excellent performance from the moment they are installed.”
The company additionally highlights Borg & Beck’s 110-strong brake drum and 85 brake disc offerings, which are further complemented with a full range of wear leads.
“Naturally, the entire braking programme is ECE R90 certified, plus Borg & Beck enables workshops to source all their braking requirements from a single source, providing complete peace of mind,” said the firm.
The brand also offers a variety of air and electrical coils.
“CV coils are often chosen on their price; therefore consideration should be given to the specification requirements demanded from fleet operators.
“Borg & Beck’s range includes universal air brake coils, compact coils, seven and 15 core normal and supplementary coils, 2 into 1 adaptor coils, and EBS assemblies, offering comprehensive coverage for all key manufacturers.”
A variety of further CV product areas are covered. The steering and suspension range includes drag links, tie rods, torque rods, stabiliser links, v-stays and associated tie rod ends, which cover all popular applications. The full programme of more than 420 references is manufactured to exacting OE specification and includes an E-coating to ensure excellent corrosion resistance for up to 10 years, says First Line.
Borg & Beck’s water pump range consists of more than 65 references, covering a wide array of applications. The pumps are manufactured by ISO/TS certified factories and undergo extensive testing, while gaskets and seals are included as per OE requirement, to aid fitment.
The brand’s rotating electrics programme has more than 60 starter and alternator references, covering a variety of popular CV applications. The full range consists of brand new units, requires no core return and is therefore subject to no surcharge, while a 24-month unlimited mileage warranty is offered against manufacturing defects.
