Wheel safety wisdom from Checkpoint
Wheel safety specialist Checkpoint has emphasised the importance of guarding against loose wheel nuts as part of routine vehicle inspections.
“In a recent survey conducted by Edge Insight, it was found that whilst 80 per cent of drivers checked for tyre defects daily, 33 per cent of them neglected to check their wheel nuts at the same time,” said the company.
“Furthermore, the fact that over a third of these drivers (37.2 per cent) had experienced a loose wheel nut incident within the past two years makes these findings all the more worrying.”
