Bowmonk launches new workshop PC
Workshop equipment provider Bowmonk has introduced the Tufbox3, a rugged, fan-less PC which has been developed for garage and workshop use.
“Most PCs have internal fans for cooling, which suck dust and workshop debris into the inner components, causing the PC to malfunction or stop working altogether,” explained the company.
“The Tufbox3 is completely fan-less, so it will never suffer from this inconvenience, ensuring continued reliability.”
The Tufbox3 has all of the computing performance required for day-to-day garage use, the company says, and comes in a discrete formfactor that can be easily tucked away, with dimensions measuring 174 x 150 x 63mm. It can be mounted at any angle.
The unit includes eight USB ports, as well as HDMI and VGA ports, six serial ports and solid state components, and comes equipped with 120GB TLC SSD storage, an Intel Core i5 processor and Windows 10 Professional. An AC power adapter (60W/12V 5A) and two Wi-Fi Direct-Connect antennae are also included.
Benefits are said to include lower power consumption, and considerably longer lifespan than most garage PCs.
