GreenChem AdBlue dispensers go contactless
GreenChem has developed a contactless payment system for retail AdBlue dispensing systems as part of its hardware portfolio, for customers wishing to top up their trucks and vans with AdBlue.
The systems help avoid the use of ever more plastic containers, says the company, thus avoiding the need for recycling/disposal and providing obvious environmental benefits.
The new Smart Retail range is available in three sizes, depending on available space for the dispensing tank and the potential volume the site will sell. All tanks are MID approved retail heads and can be placed in most locations; it does not have to be a forecourt. Anywhere with a high volume of vehicle traffic could be a useful location, says GreenChem, including a parking facility.
With a move towards unmanned sites and contactless payments, which is encouraged during the current global conditions, the new contactless system represents a safer, cost-effective 
solution, says GreenChem. All that is required is a power supply and a flat level surface large enough to place the tank. The payment transactions and telemetry for tank refills are GPRS-based, so no civils are required.
The company said: “The development is the next stage in the evolution of the Smart range of systems built in the UK for GreenChem, and complements the skid unit developed for smaller forecourts that require pumped AdBlue. This is connected to the till. There are several financing options available. The contactless transaction is simple operation with on-screen instructions and a limit of currently £30. The twin nozzle version, truck/van and car, is the preferred option as all vehicles can fill and increase revenue.
“The model is also available connected directly to the till in various combinations. Purpose-built tank sizes are also available depending on the site’s space availability.”
