Esprit kits keep windscreens crack-free

Windscreen repair equipment provider Esprit has explained how its products can be employed to deal with chips and cracks to help fleets stay safe and avoid downtime.

“Damage on the screen can be a distraction to the driver, drawing the eye to the damage and away from the road, and even a moment’s distraction can be deadly,” said Victoria Evans, owner of Esprit.

“Additionally, a chip can turn into a crack, meaning that a new screen is required before a vehicle can be safely driven again, which means that your vehicle is off the road for longer.”

Chips and cracks can be repaired quickly and safely using the Esprit Windscreen Repair System, the company says, meaning that trucks and fleet vehicles are back on the road within 30 minutes, and the screen is as safe and clear as a new screen.

“The Esprit system is suitable for all types of windscreen, and presents a straightforward, simple and low cost solution to the problem of windscreen impact damage,” Victoria continued.

Its ergonomic bridge is used to position the injector perfectly over the break. Esprit resin is then injected and cured in 75 seconds with the LED lamp.

“A little polish and the screen is clear, strong and performs as well as a new screen in tests carried out by British Standards. Damage can be repaired in most areas of the screen, including all but the most severe damage in the driver’s vision.

“The kit comes with training, either in person or online, and our training is accredited by the Institute of the Motor Industry, so you know you’re getting top quality certification. Esprit has also been awarded Made in Britain accreditation, so you’re guaranteed high quality, British-made goods, with the backup of a British-based technical team.”

There are several cost effective ways to carry out repairs, explains Victoria.

“The Esprit Elite kit includes the Esprit manufactured LED lamp and enough resin for up to 40 repairs and this kit is ideal for larger fleets or those who often need to repair screens,” she said.

“Also available is the Compact kit, which is ideal for smaller fleets, or those who carry out fewer repairs. The Compact kit is stocked with the same quality Esprit branded goods, but it’s pared back to suit the occasional repairer.”

Esprit products are available online via the company website, along with news, tips and tricks, technical information and a free training video. Consumables ordered before 2pm will be sent out on the same day.

Esprit, which has been making windscreen repair equipment for 40 years this year, can provide advice from its Staffordshire office via telephone to discuss the most suitable options for individual fleets.
