VisionTrack: how AI is changing telematics and fleet management
Fleet management solutions provider VisionTrack has explained how its systems leverage advanced AI to enhance safety, reduce false alerts, and provide fleet managers with actionable insights like never before.
Choosing the right fleet management solution can be challenging, says the company, with vehicle tracking, in-cab cameras, and driver behaviour monitoring now considered standard.
At the core of VisionTrack’s innovation is Autonomise.ai, a fleet management platform that delivers real-time alerts and instant access to vehicle footage, ensuring driver safety and providing indisputable evidence when incidents occur.
Building on this foundation, VisionTrack launched NARA (Notification, Analysis, Risk Assessment) in 2023 – an AI-driven post-analysis platform. This technology is said to take fleet management to the next level, proactively identifying risks, eliminating false positives, and accurately validating incidents without human intervention.
By allowing fleet managers to focus only on relevant events, says VisionTrack, it enhances efficiency whilst maintaining the highest safety standards.
In 2025, VisionTrack introduced NARA 2.0, further refining its ability to filter out false alerts and deliver deeper insights. This latest iteration now includes: bird’s-eye-view incident reconstruction for enhanced training and analysis; time-to-collision estimates for proactive risk assessment; and advanced filtering to eliminate common false alerts, such as speed bumps being mistaken for sudden shocks.
John Crawford, head of account management at VisionTrack, told Transport Operator: “Our clients needed support with the volume of video data being generated, making incident management reactive and time-consuming.
“They needed a solution that cut through the noise and prioritised what truly mattered. With NARA they can now take a proactive approach, focusing on real risks while ignoring false alerts. This has led to faster claim resolutions, reduced costs, and improved driver welfare – all while making fleet operations far more efficient.
“VisionTrack’s product development is focused on making the roads safer for drivers and road users alike which, in turn, improves fleet operations for our customers.”
Expanding its AI-driven fleet solutions, VisionTrack offers the Vision Pro AI, integrating ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) and DSM (Driver Status Monitoring). These AI technologies actively detect and aim to correct risky driving behaviours in real time, says the firm, while also providing footage for ongoing driver coaching, ultimately making roads safer for everyone.
