Advanced tracking solutions from ACSS
ACSS has been providing safety and security solutions for commercial fleets for over 20 years. In 2017, the company launched the AdvancedFleet tracking and telematics suite for vehicle fleet management, powered by Wialon.
This platform has allowed the business to integrate with third-party systems and develop customised solutions to address the unique needs of different fleets.
With ability to offer data pings up to every second, such data accuracy can make big differences to aggregated telematics data, the company says, while tracking routes travelled with such accuracy means geofences, mileage data and fuel efficiency info can be produced with absolute confidence – filtering through to accurate individual location sharing for customer time dependent deliveries, to driver safety analysis and scoring.
According to ACSS’s technical manager, Alasdair Graham, “It’s the adaptability, the ability to customise and adapt the platform’s functionalities for customers that might have smaller fleets, right up to the largest fleets and everything in between.”
ACSS Telematics says it can offer advanced tracking capabilities, including real-time GPS tracking and alerts that help increase fleet efficiency.
“While it performs the basic functions of data collection and tracking, ACSS also goes further by being more reactive and providing customised solutions for different industries,” it said.
“The platform allows for easy integration, enabling customers to adjust their systems to meet their specific needs.
“One of the key advantages of ACSS Telematics is its ability to integrate with a variety of security features, including cameras, sensors, door locking alarms, and other components, allowing for bespoke solutions tailored to industry requirements. This integration ensures that businesses can enhance their fleet’s security and operational capabilities.
“In addition to these features, ACSS offers motion detection cameras and live CCTV as part of its telematics solutions. Motion detection cameras are particularly valuable for identifying and recording unusual activity, offering real-time alerts to fleet managers. These cameras can detect movement around the vehicle or cargo, providing an extra layer of security.
“The live CCTV integration allows for continuous, real-time surveillance, offering 360-degree coverage of the fleet’s operations, which ensures that potential security threats are monitored and addressed promptly.”
Tailored security features include remote locking systems that enable secure vehicle or cargo access control, adds the company, ensuring that only authorised personnel can gain entry.
“The platform also enables compliance with Transported Asset Protection Association (TAPA) and Transported Security Requirements (TSR) standards, which are critical for the security of valuable goods in transit. Additionally, door sensors and trigger alarms provide real-time alerts in the event of unauthorised access or tampering.
“ACSS’s telematics solutions also include driver ID fobs, which ensure that only authorised drivers can access vehicles, further enhancing security. For situations involving theft or unauthorised use, the platform offers remote immobilisation, allowing fleet managers to disable vehicles remotely.
“Remote control of locking systems provides a solution to high value transportation requirements for remoting controlling physical locking systems. Working with ACSS and Maple Fleet Services, operators control Maple’s locking systems remotely. This enables accurate locking and opening audit trails, geofenced lock operation and completely transparency for end-to-end load security.”
