CV Show 2026 – IRTE: advice for engineers
The 2026 Commercial Vehicle Show will take place from 21-23 April at the NEC Birmingham.

The Institute of Road Transport Engineers (IRTE), a sector of the Society of Operations Engineers (SOE), is looking forward to meeting engineers, fleet operators, workshop managers and technicians from across the commercial vehicle sector at this year’s event.
It is inviting Show-goers to its stand to discuss the Maintenance Provision Rating Scheme (MPRS) for workshops, and the benefits of professional registration with the Engineering Council, irtec certification for technicians, and IRTE Workshop Accreditation.
“Whether you’re focused on workshop standards, technician competence or your own professional development, we’re here to guide you through the options available,” said IRTE.
The organisation will also host live Q&A/discussions at the CV Show, full details of which will be made available closer to the event.
