In support of these products, it also provides aftersales service and repair of pit jacks. Where a pit jack is sent back to the workshop – the company can arrange a collection by pallet courier if required – it completes an assessment of the jack and delivers a detailed recommendation of the best solution to the customer before any work is carried out.
Cited highlights of the range include a popular 1.5-tonne heavy duty transmission jack, which is available in both air and manual models. Designed and manufactured for use in a pit or under a four-post lift, they are used to remove and install engines, gearboxes etc, and are said to offer a reliable and well-engineered solution.
Meanwhile, Autolift’s latest product innovations have seen new 30- and 40-tonne air powered twin ram pit jacks added to the range.
“Autolift Ltd have streamlined the design and improved the overall performance of the jack with updated internal components using the latest in seal technology advancements,” said the company.
“As with all Autolift twin ram pit jacks, the 30T and 40T models come with a triple-layer of safety features as standard; a safety lowering valve, anti-burst valves in both cylinders and ram lock-off handles which prevent accidental lowering.”
They also offer security struts, which can be fitted to all jacks, to offer an extra layer of security to the user if requested. Autolift additionally highlights its unique ‘air-over-oil’ design, said to increase the jacks’ performance and also improve the lifespan of the chrome cylinders compared to other manufacturers’ designs, by keeping them emersed in oil when not in use.
All jacks are designed and manufactured in accordance with Machinery Directive 98/37/EC and engineering standard BS EN 1494:2001 (Materials handling equipment), adds Autolift, while the unit complies with EC requirements and is covered by a five-year warranty. Each unit is fully tested, marked with a serial number and supplied with a test certificate.
