Hexagon Leasing brings benefits for ASCG

Nationwide contract hire, vehicle sales and fleet management provider Hexagon Leasing provides services to a wide range of organisations from SMEs through to large multinationals – with more than 3,000 assets including latest-generation, ultra-high specification and alternative-fuelled vehicles.

Hexagon, which has been operating since 2001, has a long-standing relationship with fashion retail logistics specialist Advanced Supply Chain Group (ASCG), which last year took delivery of 35 new Renault T Evolution 13 litre T480s on contract lease.

ASCG, which counts Asos, Next and Asda among its customers, chose the Renault T Evolution model due to its environmental benefits and interior improvements.

Trevor Fallas, group head of fleet and compliance at ASCG, said: “Like everybody else, we are looking at reducing our carbon footprint and CO2 emissions whilst keeping an eye on rising fuel costs, and the new Renault deals with all of that.

“We’ve chosen the Optifleet software in all of the trucks, which tracks driver behaviour and driving style, CO2 emissions, and fuel consumption. We’ve also taken into account our drivers’ needs; it’s their office and where they also rest and sleep.”

The company, which has sites in Halifax, Sheffield, Bradford and Corby as well as a pilot site in Newhaven, monitors driver style on a daily basis and offers a bonus scheme to drivers hitting their targets.

The new vehicles make up 55 per cent of ASCG’s fleet, and are also fleet-managed by Hexagon.

Trevor added: “We have been in partnership with Hexagon for over 15 years now. They have always been reliable and the quality of the service we get from them is second to none. This was one of the key factors when we chose the 35 Renaults from them.

“The aftersales service is excellent. They come and see us regularly and check everything is all right and even just call in for a coffee and a catch up if they are passing.

“This is the relationship we have built up over the years, and that quality is what we were looking for when we needed to expand our fleet.”

David Hodgkinson, head of sales at Hexagon Leasing, said: “We work as a partner with all of our customers to meet their needs and requirements.

“From the initial consultation, we develop an understanding of the customer’s organisation and fleet requirements and carefully create a solution which works for them and is supported by our extensive experience and industry knowledge.”

He added: “We are manufacturer independent and can source vehicles to match customer specifications and at competitive rates. We are also committed to ensuring maximum fleet uptime and are proud to hold an MOT first time pass rate of 95 per cent which exceeds industry standards.

“Additionally, this is supported by our national 24/7 breakdown service and partnerships with Bridgestone Tyres and Stone Hardy.”

Hexagon says its 2023 strategy includes both continued investment in new vehicles and growth in the used vehicles market.
