Bowmonk adds testing value with BrakeCheck
Among the products in Bowmonk’s commercial vehicle product portfolio is the BrakeCheck portable brake testing unit.
One of the more important modules of any safety inspection is recording the efficiency of the service and park braking system, says the company, to ensure they are performing within the recommended parameters.
In addition to the annual MOT test and the required three-monthly brake test, says Bowmonk, more frequent checks have in some cases highlighted minor abnormalities that can be quickly addressed before they become dangerous and more costly to repair.
“With the user-friendly, DVSA approved Bowmonk BrakeCheck, a complete and comprehensive check of the efficiency and braking balance can be carried out in a matter of minutes on the user’s premises at their convenience,” said the company.
“For peace of mind, it can be used as often as is required, as it is completely portable.”
Because Bowmonk’s BrakeCheck is approved by the DVSA, the company adds, it can also be used for the aforementioned quarterly brake tests, meaning no downtime driving to or waiting at the test centre.
