texa-glassesVehicle diagnostics equipment specialist Texa has won an Innovation Award in the automotive tools category at the recent Auto Trade Expo in Dublin, for its prototype augmented reality repair glasses.

Developed in collaboration with Epson Italia, Texa’s solution allows all the information required for conducting repairs to appear in front of a technician’s eyes while they are working on a vehicle. The data is projected directly inside the glasses, thereby eliminating the time workshop staff have to spend alternating between looking at the diagnostic tool and the vehicle they are working on.

The prize follows other recent award wins for Texa, including those received at Automechanika in Frankfurt (two Innovation Awards and Beste Marke) and the Russian Golden Wrench award.

The Auto Trade Expo is a trade show covering all aspects of the Irish automotive and heavy vehicle aftermarket, attracting visitors from independent workshops, main retailers, bodyshops and tyre specialists.
