As part of the sponsorship, Don has donated to the Yorkshire Aid Convoy, helping the charity during its 3,000-mile journey across Europe to Romania in June. The charity sees a number of West Yorkshire business owners travel to some of Romania’s poverty-stricken areas to deliver more than 100 tonnes of much needed aid, including clothing, medical supplies and nappies.

Richard Barton, UK CV product manager, said: “As a strong market player in developing and supplying braking solutions, we felt we could help the group, not only donating to the cause, but using our knowledge and expertise to help the charity make the 3,000 mile trip safely.”

Mark Murphy, founder of the Yorkshire Aid Convoy, said: “Since our launch in 2002, the Yorkshire Aid Convoy has continued to grow, thanks to generous donations from a number of corporate sponsors, businesses and kind donors.

“We’re thankful of Don’s contribution to the cause. These donations help empower people in Romania to become self-sufficient by providing livestock and machinery, giving long-term help for people constantly battling against a lack of food, clothing and employment.”

The Yorkshire Aid Convoy liaises directly with local organisations and charities in Romania to ensure that they can deliver support and donations that are needed, as well as identifying institutions, such as children’s hospitals or schools, that are most in need of help and resources.

Don supplies and develops a range of braking solutions for commercial vehicles, buses and coaches. The company claims its brand, which is backed by the TMD Friction Group and benefits from its R&D and manufacturing expertise, offers excellent value for money, whilst not compromising on safety.
