Electro-Wind technology transforms trailer loading
Among the technologies offered by power solutions provider Electro-Wind is a DC power supply for use with tail lifts and double-deck trailers.

“Electro-Wind has targeted this market and specialised their tail lift transformer (DC power supply) to meet this demand.
“Fleets can minimise their environmental impact through the use of a bespoke tail lift transformer to unload their double-deck or tail lift trailers. This helps to achieve a positive carbon footprint,” said Electro-Wind.
“The unit has no recharging down time, as they are plugged directly into the mains and are made to your own requirements. Whether you are working in maintenance and service departments or a large logistics centre, these units can be produced to your particular needs.”
All Electro-Wind’s 24VDC units are designed and manufactured in the company’s own UK workshop, which it says promotes short lead times and greater flexibility.
Various options can be selected, such as control gear where required. Mobile options such as lockable caster wheels are particularly useful in service environments for testing, the company adds, whereas the fixed installation units, which can be floor or wall-mounted, are preferred in the larger logistics hubs.
Units can be manufactured to supply single or multiple bays. Power supply accessories and spares including DC extension leads, connectors, and junction boxes are also available.
