Structure-flex invests in ‘wow factor’ graphics tech

Lorry tension curtain and livery expert Structure-flex has launched new services, as the company reports rising demand for ever more impactful graphics for commercial vehicles.

Norfolk-based Structure-flex has provided lorry tension curtains since 1970 and is responsible for a number of product innovations, including the ‘Smoothside’ buckle-free curtain.

However, in the last year the firm says it has seen a significant increase in customers looking for ever more ambitious and vibrant graphics – a trend it expects to continue, as brands and retailers battle for success on the high street and exploit fleet graphics as another way to promote their products.

“Fleet owners and operators have always wanted their lorries and brands to stand out on UK roads,” said Structure-flex managing director, Paul Reeve.

“But, whether it’s the influence of marketing or competition, customers are increasingly looking for what some call the ‘wow factor’ with ever more detailed and bold livery.”

In response to the rising demand, Structure-flex has continued to invest in new technology which has seen its factory remain one of the largest and most capable in the UK. In particular, use of the latest ink technology has increased the intricacy of designs the firm can deliver for curtainsiders, whilst ensuring colours also remain vibrant for longer than ever before.

To enhance its services further, Structure-flex has announced a partnership with Clarendon Fleet, specialist installers of fleet graphics and vehicle wraps. Designed and project-managed by Structure-flex’s experienced team, the full or partial cab wraps, rear door graphics and hard trailer graphics can provide front-to-back vehicle branding with nationwide fitting.

Structure-flex believes the new integrated service will offer both bodybuilders and fleet managers greater value and service when looking to brand either customers and their own vehicles. In particular, the company can ensure an exact colour match between graphics and flexible tension curtains, ensuring complete brand continuity.

“Brands increasingly want to ensure their fleets stand out even when they’re standing still,” Paul continued.

“We’ve been helping clients since the ‘70s but our development of materials and technology means there has never been such a strong opportunity to use livery to promote your brand. Some of the bigger names we’ve helped claim their vehicle graphics are now more recognised than their TV commercials.”
