Astra ClearView proves popular for Mercedes-Benz trucks
Safety systems provider Astra Vehicle Technologies has reported strong interest for its Astra ClearView low-level side window product on the Mercedes-Benz range of vehicles, including the Arocs (pictured).
The ClearView product offers at least one star benefit when applied to vehicles affected by London’s forthcoming Direct Vision Standard, says Astra.
“All Astra ClearView products maintain the operational functionality of the original passenger door window, but in addition to a fully functional passenger door window it now also incorporates special features for use in high dust environments as standard,” said the company.
“Astra have worked closely with Mercedes-Benz UK product and design engineers to produce a design that suits the style of the Mercedes-Benz trucks, whilst optimising viewing angle and additional glass area.
“Astra’s ClearView product was the first retrofit system approved by an OEM for use in the DVS star ratings.”
