City West enjoys brake testing boost
South West Mercedes-Benz Truck & Van dealership group City West Commercials has established in-house brake testing at all its locations, recently extending the facility at two of its workshops after taking advantage of lease hire options from Totalkare.
As part of strategic growth under dealer principal Darren Sweet, the dealer – which has locations along the South West stretch of the M5 – is said to be benefiting from time and cost savings as a result of the shift to in-house testing, following the introduction of DVSA-approved mobile brake testers from Totalkare at its Avonmouth and Roche locations. Both are supported by a full repair and maintenance service contract, including twice-yearly calibration visits.
The mobile brake tester is available with single or bi-directional rollers and can be upgraded with extended on-ramps, tachograph calibration, axle load simulation and more.
“For busy dealerships like ours, simply reducing the number of trips to test centres has already improved our workshop productivity, allowing us to sharpen our service offering to our customers,” observed Darren Sweet, dealer principal for City West Commercials.
