The Commercial Vehicle Show takes place from 18-20 April at the NEC Birmingham.
Air-Seal Products is among this year’s exhibitors, promoting its tyre sealants as a route to reducing operating and tyre replacement costs.
“They can prevent up to 95 per cent of tread area punctures up to the legal maximum of 12mm, providing a road-legal repair for the life of the tyre,” said Air-Seal.
“These tyre sealants will also stop rim, bead, and other slow air leaks which will maintain optimum tyre pressure leading to increased fuel efficiency up to three per cent, and increased tyre life of up to a staggering 20 per cent.”
When a tyre is penetrated, the firm explains, the air loss forces aramid fibres and fillers to inter-lock and form a seal, preventing further air from escaping.
