SEFAC’s mobile column lift tips
Lifting specialist SEFAC has issued advice for fleets considering investing in mobile column lifts.
“Buying mobile columns directly from the manufacturer can have several advantages over purchasing them from a reseller,” said the company.
“When you buy directly from the manufacturer, you can often get a better price than if you were to purchase from a third-party vendor. This is because the manufacturer doesn’t have to pay a commission to a reseller or distributor…
“You can [also] be more confident in the quality of the product you’re getting. This is because the manufacturer is responsible for ensuring that their products meet certain standards, and they have more control over the production process.
“This allows manufacturers, especially European ones such as SEFAC, to offer longer and more comprehensive warranties and in turn their customers to expect higher quality equipment that lasts and can be supported longer.”
The company continued: “When you buy directly from the manufacturer, you can often receive better customer support than if you were to purchase from a reseller. This is because the manufacturer knows their product inside and out and can provide more specialised assistance if you have questions or concerns.
“Resellers may not have the same level of expertise or resources available to them, and they may need to rely on the manufacturer for support.
“Additionally, if the relationship between the reseller and manufacturer deteriorates or changes, it could lead to supply chain disruptions and price increases.”
It added: “If you buy directly from the manufacturer, you may be able to take advantage of their warranty program… SEFAC have the confidence in their equipment to offer a three-year parts and labour warranty.”
